From there, turn right onto 24th Street and continue until you reach the Kern River Parkway entrance at Oak Street. To get to Kern River Parkway via public transit, start by locating the nearest bus stop. Take the Golden Empire Transit (GET) bus Route 1 from the downtown area. Ride the bus until you reach the stop at 24th Street and Oak Street. From there, walk east on Oak Street, and you will find the entrance to Kern River Parkway directly ahead. The parkway is a short walk from the bus stop.
