If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike shops in Berkeley. From the center of Berkeley, head west towards the waterfront. Follow the bike path along the marina towards San Francisco for approximately 6 miles. Continue onto the Golden Gate Bridge, then take the exit towards Lombard St. The bike rental shop will be at 2157 Lombard St.

If you're up for a long walk, start from the UC Berkeley campus. Head west on University Ave until you reach the Marina District. Once you reach Marina Blvd, turn right and walk along the waterfront until you arrive at the Golden Gate Bridge area.
