Exit the mall and head south on N San Fernando Blvd toward E Olive Ave. Walk for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Burbank Metrolink Station. From here, take the Metrolink train toward Union Station. Get off at the Hollywood/Highland station. Once you exit the station, head northwest on Hollywood Blvd toward N Highland Ave. Continue walking for about 0.8 miles until you reach the intersection of Sunset Blvd. Turn right onto Sunset Blvd and walk for another 1 mile until you reach La Cienega Blvd. Turn left on La Cienega Blvd and walk for about 0.5 miles until you reach Santa Monica Blvd. Turn right onto Santa Monica Blvd and walk about 0.3 miles. You will see signs pointing towards the Old West Hollywood Sign Location. It's approximately a 2.5-mile walk from the Burbank Town Center.

From the Burbank Town Center, walk to the nearest bus stop at N San Fernando Blvd & E Olive Ave. Take Bus Line 94 towards the North Hollywood Metro Station. Get off at the stop at La Brea Ave & Santa Monica Blvd. From there, transfer to Bus Line 105 towards the West Hollywood area. Ride the bus until you reach Sunset Blvd & La Cienega Blvd. From this stop, it is a short walk of about 0.3 miles to the Old West Hollywood Sign Location. The total travel time should take around 1 hour, depending on the wait times for the buses.
