Start at the center of Carmel-by-the-Sea, specifically at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and San Carlos Street. From here, head south down San Carlos Street until you reach 5th Avenue. Turn left (east) onto 5th Avenue and continue walking until you reach the end of the street, where it meets the beach access path. Continue straight along the path, which will lead you towards the coastline. Once you reach the end of the path, you will find yourself at McAbee Beach, known for its beautiful views and a small, sandy beach area.
