From the heart of Downtown Monterey, head west on Alvarado Street towards the coast. After about 0.3 miles, take a left on Hoffman Avenue. Continue walking straight, and in about 0.2 miles, you will reach McAbee Beach located at 1 Hoffman Ave. This beach is known for its beautiful views and is a great spot to relax or take a stroll along the shoreline.

Public Transportation
If you prefer not to walk, you can take the MST (Monterey-Salinas Transit) bus. Board the MST Route 1 at the nearest bus stop in Downtown Monterey. The fare is $2.00 for a one-way ticket. Ride the bus for approximately 10 minutes and get off at the stop closest to Hoffman Avenue. From there, it’s a short 5-minute walk to McAbee Beach.
