The walk is mostly flat and takes about 5-10 minutes. Be mindful of pedestrian traffic, especially during peak season.

The Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) Trolley provides free service around the Cannery Row area. Check the MST website or app for the trolley schedule and stops. Exit the trolley at a stop near Hoffman Avenue on Cannery Row. From there, McAbee Beach is a short walk towards the ocean. Note that the free MST Trolley typically operates seasonally, from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.

If driving, navigate to Cannery Row. Parking in the immediate vicinity of McAbee Beach is limited and can be expensive. Metered street parking is available, but spaces fill up quickly. Several parking garages are located within a few blocks, including the Wave Street Garage (corner of Wave Street and Hoffman Avenue). Parking fees at these garages typically range from $2-$3 per hour. Be aware that parking policies at the El Torito Restaurant's parking lot have been unpredictable; it's best to avoid parking there unless you confirm their current policy beforehand.
