Discover more about William Harrison Vineyards & Winery

William Harrison Vineyards & Winery, located on Silverado Trail in St. Helena, is a family-owned and operated winery with a rich history dating back to the 16th century in Italy. Bill Harrison's ancestor, Antonio Perelli-Minetti, immigrated to California in 1902 and was a prominent figure in California winemaking. The winery itself was established in 1985, with the first vintage under the William Harrison label in 1993. The winery's rustic architecture, reminiscent of an old California ranch house, creates an intimate and down-to-earth atmosphere. The tasting room offers stunning views of the surrounding vineyards and the western foothills of the Vaca Mountains. William Harrison produces layered, balanced wines that are approachable in their youth but can also age for years. They grow all five Bordeaux red varieties on their nine-acre ranch. In addition to their estate-grown wines, they also source Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the Sangiacomo family in Sonoma. Visitors can enjoy a relaxed tasting experience, with knowledgeable staff sharing stories and winemaking secrets. Tastings are available by appointment Tuesday through Sunday. Well-behaved children and leashed pets are welcome on the terrace.
