The USS Midway Museum is located at Navy Pier, at the end of Broadway, making it easily accessible on foot from most downtown San Diego hotels and attractions. From the Embarcadero, simply follow the waterfront promenade north. The ship is visible from a distance.

The Santa Fe Train Depot and American Plaza Trolley Station are a short, 5-minute walk to the USS Midway Museum. Several bus lines also stop near the museum, including routes 923, 992, 280 and 290. From the Santa Fe Depot, walk south towards the waterfront and then east along Broadway to Navy Pier. A single ride on the San Diego Trolley or a local bus costs $2.50. A day pass, allowing unlimited rides, is available for $6.
