Walking
If you are starting from downtown Santa Barbara, head west on State Street towards the beach. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Cabrillo Boulevard. Turn left (south) onto Cabrillo Boulevard and walk along the coast for about 1.5 miles. You will pass several parks and beachfront areas. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with E Montecito Street. Continue straight, and after approximately 0.3 miles, you will see Poet Tree on your right at the location C736+3J2. There are no costs associated with walking.
Public Transport
From downtown Santa Barbara, you can take the MTD (Muni Transportation District) bus. Catch the Line 1 or Line 2 bus from State Street. The bus will take you towards the west end. Make sure to get off at the stop at Cabrillo Blvd & Montecito St. From there, walk south along Cabrillo Boulevard for about 0.5 miles, and you will see Poet Tree on your left at the location C736+3J2. A single ride on the MTD bus costs $1.75.
Driving
From downtown Santa Barbara, head west on US-101 S. Take the Castillo Street exit. Turn left onto Castillo Street, then turn right onto Cabrillo Boulevard. Continue onto E Cabrillo Boulevard, then turn right onto Los Olivos Street. Turn right onto Santa Barbara Street, and Poet Tree will be on your right. Limited street parking is available. Metered parking is available for $2.50 per hour after the first 75 minutes free in downtown Santa Barbara City parking lots. Valet parking is available on Anacapa St between Canon Perdido St and De la Guerra St.
