From Santa Clara, head to the nearest VTA Light Rail station, which is the 'Santa Clara Station' located at 1000 E. Santa Clara St. Board the Light Rail on the 'Blue Line' towards the 'Mountain View' direction. Travel for 6 stops and get off at 'Capitol Station.' From there, transfer to the VTA Bus Line 64 at the bus stop directly outside the station. Board the Bus Line 64 towards 'Eastridge.' After about 15 minutes, get off at the 'Snell Ave & Cottle Rd' stop. Walk south on Snell Ave for approximately 0.5 miles until you reach Martial Cottle Park at 5283 Snell Ave, San Jose.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local bike-sharing program or a rental shop in Santa Clara. Start at the Santa Clara Caltrain Station and take the San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail heading south. Follow the trail until you reach the intersection with Cottle Rd. Turn left onto Cottle Rd and continue for about 1.5 miles. Martial Cottle Park will be on your right at 5283 Snell Ave, San Jose. The route has bike lanes, making it suitable for cyclists.

For those who want to walk, if you are in the downtown Santa Clara area, head south on Market St toward E. Santa Clara St. Continue straight until you reach S. Bascom Ave. Turn right onto S.
