Getting There

• Walking

  From Santa Monica Pier, walk east on Colorado Avenue towards Ocean Avenue. Turn left onto Ocean Avenue and walk south until you reach Pico Boulevard. Continue straight onto Barnard Way. The park is located at 2440 Barnard Way. There are no costs associated with walking.

• Public Transport

  Take the Big Blue Bus Route 1 or 7 from various locations in Santa Monica. Get off at the stop on Ocean Avenue at Pico Boulevard. From there, walk south on Ocean Avenue, then turn right onto Barnard Way. The park is located at 2440 Barnard Way. As of August 10, 2025, a single ride on the Big Blue Bus is $1.25 using TAP/Mobile or $1.50 cash.

• Ride-sharing

  From anywhere in Santa Monica, a ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft can drop you off directly at Barnard Way Linear Park, 2440 Barnard Way. The cost will vary depending on the distance and time of day, but a short trip within Santa Monica will likely cost between $10-$20.

• Parking

  If driving, enter the beach parking lot at the corner of Hollister Avenue & Barnard Way. The parking lot on the left (south), closest to the park, costs $10 per day. The parking lot on the right (north) costs $1 per hour. Metered street parking may also be available on nearby streets.
