Walking
From the Venice Beach Boardwalk, head east towards Ocean Front Walk. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Windward Avenue. Turn left onto Windward Avenue and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Pacific Avenue. Turn right on Pacific Avenue and keep walking until you arrive at the Venice Canals. Once you reach the canals, continue heading east towards the main road. This will take you to Lincoln Boulevard. Cross Lincoln Boulevard and continue walking east until you reach the Culver City Bus stop at Washington Blvd. From there, board the 33 bus towards Downtown LA. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the Olvera Street stop. Walk one block south to reach 10 Olvera St, where you will find the Avila Adobe.
Public Transit
Start at the Venice Beach Boardwalk and walk to the nearest bus stop located on Pacific Avenue. Take the Metro Bus 33 towards Downtown LA. After about 30 minutes, disembark at the Olvera Street stop. From there, it is just a short walk to 10 Olvera St. You will find the Avila Adobe right at the heart of Olvera Street.
Bike
If you have access to a bike, start at Venice Beach and head east on the bike path that runs parallel to the beach. Continue until you reach the end of the bike path at Washington Boulevard. Turn left onto Washington Boulevard and continue straight until you reach Lincoln Boulevard. Turn right onto Lincoln Boulevard, then take a left on 16th Street. Follow this road until it connects to the Culver City Bus stop. From there, board the Metro Bus 33 towards Downtown LA and get off at the Olvera Street stop. Finally, walk south one block to reach 10 Olvera St, home to the Avila Adobe.
