Shuttle
The easiest way to reach Cook's Meadow Loop is by using the free Yosemite Valley Shuttle. Take the Valleywide Shuttle (Green Route) to either Shuttle Stop #5 (Yosemite Valley Visitor Center) or Shuttle Stop #6 (Lower Yosemite Fall Trailhead). The shuttle operates from 7 am to 10 pm, with buses arriving every 12 to 22 minutes. From either stop, the trail is a short walk away.
Walking
If you are already in Yosemite Valley, walking to Cook's Meadow Loop is a great option. From Yosemite Village, follow the bike path west towards Lower Yosemite Fall. The meadow will be on your left. Alternatively, from Curry Village, take the shuttle or walk towards Yosemite Village, then follow the directions above. The walk from Yosemite Village is approximately 0.5 miles.
Driving
If driving, park in the Yosemite Village Day Use parking area (also known as the Visitor Center parking area). From there, it's a short walk to the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center and the start of the Cook's Meadow Loop. Parking in Yosemite Valley can be challenging, especially during peak season, so arrive early. As of 2024, reservations may be required to enter the park on certain days between April and October. Check the park's website for the latest information. Parking is free within Yosemite Valley.
