Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from Ban Lung, the capital of Ratanakiri Province, head southeast on National Highway 78. Continue for about 8 kilometers until you reach the junction. Take a left turn onto Road 12 and drive for another 11 kilometers. You will see signs for Kachanh Waterfall on your right. The road is generally in good condition, but be cautious of occasional potholes. There is no entrance fee for the waterfall itself.

• Public Transportation (Tuk-Tuk)

  From Ban Lung, you can hire a tuk-tuk to Kachanh Waterfall. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes and costs around $15 to $20, depending on your negotiation skills and the tuk-tuk driver. Inform the driver that you want to go to Kachanh Waterfall, and they will take you directly there. Be prepared to arrange for the driver to wait for you or return to pick you up, as public transport options are limited in the area.

• Motorbike Rental

  For a more adventurous option, consider renting a motorbike in Ban Lung. Rental costs about $5 to $10 per day. From Ban Lung, follow the same route as if driving a car. Riding a motorbike gives you the flexibility to explore surrounding areas. When you arrive at Kachanh Waterfall, there is a small area for parking your bike.

• Walking (from nearby villages)

  If you are staying in nearby indigenous villages, you may consider walking to Kachanh Waterfall. Depending on your location, the walk can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Follow local paths and ask for directions if needed. This option provides a unique opportunity to experience local culture and scenery, but be sure to wear appropriate footwear and carry water.
