Getting There

Car
If you're driving, start from the city of Yola, the capital of Adamawa. Head southwest on the A1 highway for approximately 95 kilometers. You will pass through the towns of Ganye and Jada. After Jada, continue on the A1 until you reach the junction for Gashaka-Gumti National Park. Turn left onto the access road leading to the park entrance. Note that you may need a 4x4 vehicle due to the condition of some roads leading into the park.

From Yola, you can take a shared taxi or a bus heading towards Jalingo. Inform the driver that you are going to Gashaka. After approximately 2 hours, you will need to get off at the junction for Gashaka-Gumti National Park. At this point, you may need to arrange for a motorcycle taxi (popularly known as 'okada') or a local taxi to take you the remaining distance to the park entrance. Expect to negotiate the fare for the motorcycle taxi, which should be around 1000-2000 NGN.
