Getting There

• Car

  To reach Bota Island using public transportation, start by taking a taxi or shared minibus ('bush taxi') from the main entrance of Mount Cameroon National Park to Limbe. The fare should typically be around 500-1000 CFA francs (approximately $1-$2). Once you arrive in Limbe, ask the driver to drop you off at the Limbe River area. From there, you can walk towards the riverbank to access views of Bota Island. Be cautious of the surrounding areas and ensure you are aware of the time for your return trip.

  To get a closer view of Bota Island, consider hiring a small boat from the Limbe River. You can find local fishermen or boat operators near the riverbank who can take you to the island.
