Getting There

  • Walking

    From Quartier des Spectacles, head east on Rue Sainte-Catherine toward Rue de Bleury. Continue straight for about 5 minutes until you reach Rue Clark. Turn left onto Rue Clark and walk for another 5 minutes. You will arrive at Montreal Chinatown, located between Rue de la Gauchetière and Rue de la Montagne. Look for the iconic Chinatown entrance arch at the intersection of Rue de la Gauchetière and Rue Clark.

  • Metro

    From Quartier des Spectacles, walk to the closest metro station, Place-des-Arts. Take the Green Line (Line 1) towards Angrignon. After 2 stops, get off at Berri-UQAM station. Transfer to the Orange Line (Line 2) and take the train towards Côte-Vertu. Get off at the next stop, which is Jean-Drapeau. Exit the station and head west on Rue de la Gauchetière for about 10 minutes to reach Montreal Chinatown. Note that a single metro ticket costs CAD 3.50.

  • Bus

    From Quartier des Spectacles, find the nearest bus stop on Rue Sainte-Catherine. Take Bus 55 heading eastbound. Ride for about 5-6 stops and get off at the intersection of Rue de la Gauchetière and Rue Clark. From there, you can easily walk into Montreal Chinatown. The bus fare is CAD 3.50 for a single ride.
