Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Experimental Farm Pathway. This should take approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on your walking pace. Once you reach Experimental Farm Pathway, turn left and continue for about 10 minutes until you see the signs directing you to Heart Island.

If you prefer to cycle, rent a bike from a local bike rental shop near the Rideau Canal. Once you have your bike, head southwest along the canal path. Follow the bike path that runs parallel to the canal until you reach Experimental Farm Pathway. Turn left onto Experimental Farm Pathway and continue cycling for about 10 minutes. You will see signs for Heart Island along the way.

To reach Heart Island using public transit, take the OC Transpo bus from the nearest bus stop to Rideau Canal. Look for bus routes that head towards the Central Park area. You can check the OC Transpo website or app for the most convenient route and schedule. Once you arrive at the closest stop to Experimental Farm Pathway, disembark and walk towards the pathway, following the signs that lead you to Heart Island.
