Jack Layton Ferry Terminal: Gateway to Toronto Islands

Getting There

• Public Transit - Subway

  If you are starting from Union Station, take the PATH (underground walkway) to the TTC subway station. Board the subway at Union Station on Line 1 (Yonge-University) towards Vaughan Metropolitan Centre. Travel one stop to St. Andrew Station, then transfer to Line 2 (Bloor-Danforth) at St. George Station. Travel east to Queen Station and exit the subway. From Queen Station, walk south on Yonge Street until you reach Queens Quay W. Turn left and walk west until you reach 9 Queens Quay W, where you'll find the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal.

• Public Transit - Streetcar

  If you are near the downtown area, you can take the streetcar. Board the 509 or 510 streetcar at any stop along the route heading towards Union Station. Once you reach the Union Station stop, exit the streetcar. From there, walk west along the waterfront on Queens Quay W. Continue walking until you reach 9 Queens Quay W, which is the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal.

• Walking

  If you are already in the Harbourfront area, simply head towards the waterfront. Walk along Queens Quay W in the direction of the Toronto Islands. The Jack Layton Ferry Terminal is located at 9 Queens Quay W, and you should see signs directing you towards the ferry terminal as you approach the water.

• Public Transit - Bus

  If you are in an area served by Toronto's bus network, you can take a bus that connects to the subway. For example, if you are near College or Bathurst, catch a bus to the nearest subway station. Take Line 1 (Yonge-University) to Union Station, then follow the directions provided for the subway option to reach the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal at 9 Queens Quay W.
