Getting there

Subway

If you're starting from downtown Toronto, take the Yonge-University subway line (the Line 1) at any downtown station (like Union Station or Dundas Station) in the direction of Vaughan Metropolitan Centre. Get off at Union Station and transfer to the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) Streetcar. Board the 509 Harbourfront streetcar towards the Islands. This streetcar will take you directly to the ferry terminal at the foot of York Street.

Once you arrive at the ferry terminal, purchase your ferry ticket to the Toronto Islands from the ticket booth. Ferries depart frequently, so you won't have to wait long. The ferry ride will take approximately 15 minutes, offering beautiful views of the Toronto skyline. Once you disembark at the Toronto Islands, you can explore the various parks and beaches or rent a bike to navigate the area.

Walking

If you're already in the St. Lawrence area, you can walk to the ferry terminal. Head south on Bay Street until you reach Queens Quay. Turn right onto Queens Quay and walk west until you reach the ferry terminal located at the foot of York Street. This walk will take approximately 15-20 minutes and is very scenic along the waterfront.
