    From the main bus terminal in Arica (Terminal Rodoviario), take a bus heading to Putre. The bus ride will take approximately 3 to 4 hours. Make sure to confirm that the bus stops at Lago Chungara. The buses typically leave every hour. Ensure you arrive early to secure your seat.

  • Taxi or Shared Taxi

    Once you arrive in Putre, you can take a taxi or a shared taxi (colectivo) to Lago Chungara. The distance from Putre to Lago Chungara is about 30 kilometers, and the ride will take around 30 minutes. Agree on the fare beforehand if taking a taxi, as they do not have meters.

  • Walking
