  From the center of Santiago, take Av. Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins (also known as La Alameda) heading southeast. Continue on this road until you reach the junction with Avenida Vicuña Mackenna. Merge onto Vicuña Mackenna and follow it to the south. As you approach Puente Alto, keep an eye out for the signs indicating 'El Cajón del Maipo'. You'll need to turn onto Camino Al Volcán. The drive takes approximately 1 hour depending on traffic conditions. Be prepared for potential toll costs on the highways, which can range from CLP 1,200 to CLP 3,500 (approximately $1.50 to $4.50 USD).

  Start at the Universidad de Santiago metro station on Line 1 (the Red Line). Take the metro in the direction of Pajaritos and get off at the terminal station.
