Getting There

  • Car

    From Pucón, take the international road (Ruta CH-199) towards Curarrehue. After approximately 28 kilometers, pass the town of Catripulli and turn left at the sign for 'San Luis – Menetue'. Cross the Trancura River and immediately turn right. Continue on this gravel road for 12 kilometers, then turn left at the fork. After 1.5 kilometers, you'll reach a wooden gate and parking area. Entrance fee is CLP $2,500 per person.

    Take a bus from the Pucón bus terminal towards Curarrehue. Ask the driver to drop you off at the 'San Luis - Menetue' crossing, about 28 kilometers from Pucón. From there, you can either hitchhike or take a taxi to the entrance of Mirador Laguna El León, which is 13.5 kilometers away. A taxi from the crossing to the entrance may cost approximately CLP $20,000 - $25,000 for a round trip. The entrance fee to the mirador is CLP $2,500.
