Walking
Start at Plaza de Armas, the main square in Puerto Natales. Head south on Avenida Eduardo Frei towards the waterfront. This is a straight walk of approximately 15 minutes. Once you reach the waterfront, turn left onto the promenade. Continue walking along the water, enjoying the views of the fjord and the mountains. After about 10 more minutes, you'll see the Monumento al Viento on your right, a striking sculpture that represents the strong winds of the region. It's a great spot for photos!
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Puerto Natales. Start at the main square, Plaza de Armas, and ride south on Avenida Eduardo Frei. After about 5 minutes, you will reach the waterfront. Turn left onto the promenade and continue cycling along the water. The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes, and you’ll arrive at the Monumento al Viento on your right. Make sure to secure your bike when you explore the area.
Public Transport
Although public transport options are limited in Puerto Natales, you can take a local bus towards the waterfront area. Start at Plaza de Armas and find the nearest bus stop. Board a bus heading towards the waterfront. Inform the driver of your destination, Monumento al Viento, or ask for help. Once you get off at the waterfront, walk east along the promenade for about 5-10 minutes until you reach the monument.
