Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Flying Fish Cove jetty, head east along the main road (Flying Fish Cove Road) towards the direction of the Christmas Island National Park. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the fork in the road. Take the left path onto South Point Road, which will lead you towards the southern part of the island. After about 500 meters, you will see a sign for Soon Tien Kong Temple on your right. Follow the path leading up to the temple.

    If you are starting from the Christmas Island Resort, exit the resort and turn left onto the main road. Walk towards the Flying Fish Cove jetty. Once you reach the jetty, follow the same directions as above, continuing east along Flying Fish Cove Road, then veering left onto South Point Road. The temple will be approximately 2 kilometers from the resort.

    If you are at the Christmas Island Visitor Centre, exit the centre and turn right onto the main road. Walk down the main road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction, then take a left onto South Point Road. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer, and you will find Soon Tien Kong Temple on your right.
