Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from Cartagena, start by heading to the northern part of the city. Take Avenida San Martin, which will lead you to the main road towards the airport. Follow the signs for the Autopista al Mar (Route 90). Continue on this road for about 30 minutes until you reach the dock at La Bodeguita. Here, you will need to park your car in one of the nearby parking lots (parking fees may apply, typically around COP 10,000 - COP 20,000 for the day). From La Bodeguita, you will board a boat to the Oceanarium, which takes approximately 45 minutes.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the Oceanarium using public transportation, first take a local bus or taxi to La Bodeguita dock in Cartagena. Local buses can be caught from various parts of the city, and the fare is usually around COP 2,000 to COP 4,000. Once at La Bodeguita, purchase a ticket for the boat to the Oceanarium (prices can range from COP 40,000 to COP 80,000 round trip depending on the service). The boat ride will take about 45 minutes, offering beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea.

  Many tour companies in Cartagena offer packages that include transportation to the Oceanarium. You can find these at various tourist information centers or along the beaches.
