Getting There

• Metro

  Start your journey by taking the Medellín Metro. Head to the nearest metro station, which might be San Antonio or Poblado, depending on your location. Board the Line A (the blue line) towards Niquía. Travel for about 10-15 minutes and get off at the San Javier station. This is your closest stop to Comuna 13.

• Walking

  Once you exit the San Javier metro station, look for the exit that leads to the main road. From there, you can either take a short walk or hop on a bus. If you choose to walk, head west on Calle 32 towards Cra. 110. It’s about a 15-minute walk, and you will see the vibrant street art and community life as you approach Comuna 13.

• Bus

  If you prefer to take a bus, exit the San Javier metro station and locate the bus stop. Look for buses heading towards Comuna 13 or La Independencia. Make sure to ask locals or check the bus route signs to confirm you are on the right bus. The bus ride should take about 10 minutes.

• Walking (Final Stretch)

  After getting off the bus, continue walking towards Calle 34, which leads you into the heart of Comuna 13. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the main attractions like the escalators and street art. This final stretch will give you an immersive experience of the community.
