Discover more about AdAmAn Alley

AdAmAn Alley is more than just a throughway; it's a vibrant public space that tells the story of a unique Colorado Springs tradition. This transformed alleyway, located in the heart of downtown, celebrates the AdAmAn Club, a group of mountaineers who, since 1922, have ascended Pikes Peak every December 30th and 31st to ignite a spectacular fireworks display at midnight on New Year's Eve. The alley itself is a work of art, featuring colorful murals and interactive installations. As you stroll through, you'll find a representation of Barr Trail, the path the AdAmAn Club takes to the summit, marked with bronze trail markers that highlight significant locations along the way. QR codes on the markers link to the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum website, offering more in-depth information. Keep an eye out for the archway at the alley's entrance, framing a view of Pikes Peak and silhouettes of mountaineers, creating the illusion they're nearing the summit. AdAmAn Alley also serves as a venue for community events, including block parties with music and LED fireworks displays. The alley's transformation includes pedestrian-friendly enhancements like textured pavement and improved drainage. The project, which involved upgrading utilities dating back over a century, represents a collaboration between the AdAmAn Club, the Downtown Partnership, and the City of Colorado Springs.
