    From downtown Fort Collins, locate the nearest MAX Bus Rapid Transit Station. Board the MAX bus towards the South Transit Center and get off at the Centre Avenue/Drake Road stop. Transfer to Bus Route 4 or 5 heading south, and exit at the stop for Centre Avenue and West Elizabeth Street. Walk east on Elizabeth Street, then turn left onto Centre Avenue; The Gardens will be on your right. A single bus fare is approximately $1.25-$2.00.

    From downtown Fort Collins, head east on Mountain Avenue until you reach College Avenue (US-287). Cross College Avenue and continue east on Elizabeth Street. Turn right onto Centre Avenue, and The Gardens on Spring Creek will be on your left at 2145 Centre Ave. The walk is approximately 1.5 miles and takes about 30 minutes. There are no costs involved.

    From any direction in Fort Collins, navigate to Centre Avenue. The Gardens on Spring Creek is located at 2145 Centre Ave. Free parking is available in the main lot off Centre Avenue and along Botanical Lane. During special events, overflow parking is also available. There are four accessible parking spaces near the main entrance. Parking is free.

The Gardens on Spring Creek, a jewel in Fort Collins, Colorado, began as a vision in 1986, officially opening its doors in 2004. The initial push for development started in 1995 when the city initiated a horticulture program. A pivotal moment occurred in 1997 when voters approved funding to construct the Gardens. In 2000, the current name was chosen, and a master plan was designed. Located on 18 acres along the Spring Creek corridor, the Gardens has grown to include multiple themed gardens, such as the Undaunted, Prairie, and Foothills Gardens, each showcasing unique plant collections and landscapes. A major expansion completed in 2019 added new garden spaces and doubled the visitor center's square footage. The all-glass Butterfly House, operated with the Butterfly Pavilion of Westminster, CO, was also added. The Gardens offers a variety of attractions and activities, including the Butterfly House, educational programs, community events, and a summer concert series. The Gardens is dedicated to community involvement, education, and environmental responsibility. It provides school and community garden outreach, field trips, and volunteer opportunities.
