    If you are starting from Gunnison, CO, head south on US-50 E for about 3 miles. Then, take a left onto CO-149 N. Continue on CO-149 N for approximately 22 miles until you reach the turn for Kebler Pass Road (County Road 12). Turn left onto Kebler Pass Road. Follow this road for about 15 miles, which will take you into the West Elk Wilderness area. Parking is available at various trailheads along Kebler Pass Road.

    If you are using public transportation, take the Gunnison Valley RTA bus from Gunnison to Crested Butte. The bus operates several times a day and the fare is around $5.
