From Monument, take the local bus service (if available) towards Colorado Springs. Once in Colorado Springs, transfer to a bus that heads towards Durango. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may not run frequently. Upon reaching Durango, you can take a taxi or rideshare service directly to Chimney Rock National Monument, located at 3179 CO-151, Chimney Rock, CO 81121.

If you are feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Monument. Start your ride by heading southwest on State Highway 105 towards Colorado Springs. From there, follow State Highway 87 south, which eventually merges into U.S. Route 160. Continue west on U.S. Route 160 until you reach the junction for CO-151. Follow CO-151 to Chimney Rock National Monument. Be prepared for a long ride and check your route for bike-friendly paths.

Walking from Monument to Chimney Rock National Monument is not practical due to the distance (approximately 35 miles), but if you're determined, you can start by heading south on State Highway 105. Follow the highway until you reach the intersection with U.S. Route 160. Follow U.S. Route 160 west until you reach CO-151. Take CO-151 to reach the monument. Please note that this is a very long journey on foot and may take several hours or even days, depending on your pace.
