Walking
Start in the center of Monument, at the intersection of Washington Street and Front Street. Head south on Washington Street for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Monument Trailhead. Follow the trail south, which will take you through scenic areas. Continue on the trail for approximately 3 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 105. Carefully cross Highway 105 and continue to follow the trail south through the park area. After about another mile, you will arrive at the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail. Follow this trail for about 2 miles until you reach Colorado Springs. From here, follow signs to downtown Colorado Springs. Once you reach downtown, head towards 50 S Sierra Madre St. The Rock Island Memorial to John Sebastian is located at that address.

Start in Monument at the trailhead located at the intersection of Washington Street and Front Street. Follow the paved bike trails south for approximately 3 miles until you reach the junction with Highway 105. Carefully cross Highway 105 and continue south on the bike path that leads to the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail. Continue along this trail for about 2 miles. Once you reach downtown Colorado Springs, navigate towards 50 S Sierra Madre St. The Rock Island Memorial to John Sebastian will be on your left.
