If you are in the downtown area of Pagosa Springs, start at the intersection of Pagosa Street and 8th Street. Head east on Pagosa Street until you reach the intersection with Hot Springs Boulevard. Turn left onto Hot Springs Boulevard and continue walking for about a mile. You will pass several shops and restaurants. When you reach the intersection with US-160, cross the street carefully. Continue straight onto USFS Road 668 for approximately 2 miles. Look for signs indicating Mountain Bird Ranch, which will be on your right.

Begin your journey from the Pagosa Springs Visitor Center located at 105 Hot Springs Blvd. Head east on Hot Springs Blvd until you reach the intersection with US-160. Carefully cross US-160 and continue straight onto USFS Road 668. Follow this road for about 2 miles. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Mountain Bird Ranch, which will be located on your right side.
