Getting There

  • Public Transit

    From the Norwalk Transit District, take the Route 9 bus towards South Norwalk. Ride the bus for about 20 minutes until you reach the South Norwalk Railroad Station. From there, catch the Metro-North Railroad on the New Haven Line towards Grand Central Terminal. Stay on the train for about 30 minutes until you arrive at Tarrytown Station. Once you are at Tarrytown, exit the station and head to the bus stop outside. Take the Westchester County Bee-Line Bus Route 13 towards Sleepy Hollow. This bus will take you directly to the Sleepy Hollow area. The entire journey will take approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.

    If you prefer to bike, start at Norwalk's waterfront and take the scenic route along the Norwalk River. Head north on the Riverwalk until you reach the intersection with Route 1. Follow Route 1 north until you reach the intersection with Route 9. Take Route 9 north for about 4 miles, following the bike lanes available. Continue north until you see signs for Sleepy Hollow. This ride can take around 45 minutes to an hour depending on your pace.

    If you are feeling adventurous and want to walk, start from the Norwalk Riverwalk. Walk north along the waterfront path until you reach the intersection with Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street and continue heading north until you reach Route 1. Cross over to Route 1 and follow it up to the intersection with Route 9. Continue walking on Route 9 for about 4 miles. This route will take you through some beautiful scenery, but be prepared for a long walk of about 1.5 to 2 hours.
