If you are traveling by car, start at the main entrance of Rincon de la Vieja National Park. Follow the main park road until you reach the junction at the Las Pailas sector. Take the left turn towards 'Playa Minas' and continue for approximately 5 kilometers. You will pass through the scenic landscapes of the park. Keep an eye out for wildlife along the way. After about 15 minutes, you will arrive at a parking area near Playa Minas. Note that the parking fee is around $5, payable at the entrance.

Public Transportation
For tourists using public transportation, take a bus from Liberia to the town of Cuajiniquil, which is the nearest town to Rincon de la Vieja National Park. The bus ride takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. From Cuajiniquil, you can hire a local taxi or arrange for a shuttle service that can take you directly to Playa Minas. The taxi fare should be negotiated beforehand but expect to pay around $30 for the ride. Make sure to confirm the pick-up time for your return trip.
