Car
If you are driving, start from the entrance of Rincon de la Vieja National Park. Follow the main road leading into the park, which is well-marked. Continue straight for approximately 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) until you reach the parking area near the Las Pailas trailhead. From here, you can park your car and begin your hike towards Volcan Rincon de la Vieja. The hike is about 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) one way and will take approximately 2-3 hours to reach the volcano's summit.

Take a bus from Liberia to the town of Curubandé, which is the nearest town to Rincon de la Vieja National Park. The bus ride takes around 30-45 minutes and costs approximately $2-3.
