Getting There

    To reach the Eye of Croatia by car, head towards the village of Cetina. From Split, follow the D1 road for approximately 69km, then turn right towards Cetina. From Sibenik, take the D33 road to Vrlika, then turn left towards Cetina. Once in Cetina, follow local signs to the Cetina River Spring. Parking is available near the Serbian Orthodox Church of the Ascension of the Lord, a short walk from the spring. Parking is free.

    To reach the Eye of Croatia via public transport, take a bus from Split to Cetina. From the Cetina bus stop, it's approximately a 20-minute walk to the Eye of Croatia, following the main road towards the canyon. Alternatively, take a bus from Split to Omiš (approx. 30 minutes) and then a local bus or taxi to Cetina River Canyon area. From the bus stop, walk approximately 1 kilometer to the site. Bus fares from Split to Omiš are around 20-30 HRK.

This natural pool, fed by underground waters, is the source of the Cetina River, which flows for 101 kilometers to the Adriatic Sea. Divers have explored the spring to depths of over 155 meters, though the actual depth remains unknown, adding to its mystique. The water is icy cold, with temperatures ranging from 4 to 8 degrees Celsius. While swimming is possible, it is not generally encouraged due to the cold water and unknown depth.
