Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Hvar town, start at the main square (Trg Sv. Stjepana). Head towards the waterfront and follow the promenade along the coast. Continue walking past the marina until you reach the bus station. From there, look for the sign directing you to the Stari Grad bus. Take the bus towards Stari Grad, which will take approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Stari Grad bus station, exit and walk towards the town center. From the town center, follow the signs directing you to Stari Grad Plain. It’s a pleasant 30-minute walk from the bus station, heading southeast along the well-marked paths through the fields.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Hvar town. Start your journey at the main square (Trg Sv. Stjepana) and head towards the waterfront. Ride along the coast towards the Stari Grad bus station. From here, follow the signs towards Stari Grad, which is about 8 km away. The bike ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once in Stari Grad, head towards the town center and follow the signs to Stari Grad Plain, which is a short ride further, approximately 5-10 minutes.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From Hvar town, walk to the bus station located near the waterfront. Buy a ticket for the bus to Stari Grad, which departs frequently throughout the day. The bus journey takes around 20 minutes. Once you arrive at the Stari Grad bus station, exit and walk towards the center of Stari Grad. Continue straight until you reach the fork, then take the left path that leads you towards Stari Grad Plain. It’s about a 30-minute walk from the bus station to the Plain.
