Getting There

  • Car

    To reach Cliffbase by car, navigate to Sveta Nedjelja via the Jelsa tunnel. From Hvar town, follow the main road towards Jelsa, then take the connecting road to Pitve and through the tunnel to the southern side of the island. Once in Sveta Nedjelja, parking is available, but can be limited. From the village, the only legal access to Cliffbase is by sea. Consider parking near the harbor and arranging a boat transfer to the crag. Parking is free, but boat transfers will incur a fee (approximately 100-200 HRK depending on the boat and your negotiation skills).

  • Public Transport

    To reach Cliffbase via public transport, take a bus from Split to Stari Grad. From Stari Grad, connect to a local bus to Sveta Nedjelja. Note that bus schedules can be infrequent, so check timetables in advance. From the Sveta Nedjelja bus stop, the only legal access to Cliffbase is by sea. Walk towards the harbor and inquire about boat transfers to the crag. Bus fares from Split to Stari Grad range from 8-12 EUR. Local bus fares are approximately 2-4 EUR. Boat transfers will cost extra (approximately 100-200 HRK depending on the boat and your negotiation skills).

    From Sveta Nedjelja harbor, the only legal way to reach Cliffbase is by sea. You can either take a boat from the harbor or walk down the coastline to the east for approximately 0.7 km. Walking along the coast involves navigating rocky terrain and may not be suitable for everyone. Boat transfers are readily available from the harbor and cost approximately 100-200 HRK, depending on the boat and your negotiation skills.
