This nature monument, also part of the Natura 2000 network, spans 13.11 hectares of wet meadows and is a haven for biodiversity. Since its protection in 2002, Bedekovićeve Grabe has been recognized for its ecological, scientific, and aesthetic value.The area is particularly significant as a habitat for endangered butterfly species, including the scarce large blue (Phengaris teleius) and the dusky large blue (Phengaris nausithous). These butterflies depend on the great burnet plant (Sanguisorba officinalis) for their survival, with the caterpillars feeding on its flowers. The meadows are home to over 80 plant species and at least 63 species of butterflies, representing 30% of Croatia's butterfly fauna.Visitors can explore the well-maintained pathways and immerse themselves in the tranquil atmosphere. The sounds of nature create an idyllic setting for relaxation and contemplation. The area's rich biodiversity and serene environment make it an ideal destination for nature lovers and those seeking an escape from city life.
