From Entrance 1, follow the well-marked paths towards the Lower Lakes. The walk to the main viewpoint of Veliki Slap is relatively short, approximately 10-15 minutes, and offers stunning panoramic views. Continue along the boardwalk to reach the base of the waterfall for a closer perspective. Note that the path to the base involves stairs. There are no additional costs for reaching the waterfall once inside the park, as access is included in the park entrance fee.

If arriving by bus, disembark at the Entrance 1 bus stop. From there, it's a short walk to the park entrance and the path leading to Veliki Slap. Bus tickets from major cities like Zagreb, Zadar, or Split to Plitvice Lakes National Park range from €13 to €20 each way. The local bus stop is within walking distance of Entrance 1, so there are no extra local transport costs.

If arriving by car, park in the designated parking area near Entrance 1. From the parking lot, it's a short walk to the entrance of the park and the path to Veliki Slap.
