From Sljeme Mountain, head down the mountain road towards the city of Zagreb. Follow the signs for 'Zagreb' and merge onto the D1 highway. Continue on D1 for about 15 km, then take the exit towards 'Trešnjevka – jug'. Follow the signs for 'Jarun'. After about 5 km, you will reach Jarun located at 10110, Trešnjevka – jug, Zagreb. There is parking available nearby, which may incur a fee depending on the time of day.

From Sljeme Mountain, take a local bus service (check local schedules, as they may vary). You will need to travel to the nearest bus station, which is often located at the base of the mountain. Once there, take bus line 140 or 150 in the direction of 'Zagreb'. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the 'Jarun' bus stop. From there, it is a short walk to the lake. Note that a one-way ticket costs around 10 HRK.
