Jarun Beach is an integral part of the Jarun Lake sports and recreation center, often called the 'Zagreb Sea'. Created in 1987 for the Universiade, the lake and its surrounding facilities have become a beloved destination for recreation and relaxation. The beach area features five pebble beaches stretching over 2,500 meters, offering ample space for sunbathing and swimming. The water quality is regularly monitored and certified by the Blue Flag ecolabel, ensuring a safe and clean swimming environment. Lifeguard services are also available during the swimming season. Beyond swimming and sunbathing, Jarun Lake provides opportunities for various water sports, including windsurfing, kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boating.
