Discover more about Curaçao Sea Aquarium

The Curaçao Sea Aquarium, established in 1984 by Adriaan “Dutch” Schrier and Rudy Pizziolo, provides an unforgettable exploration of the Caribbean's underwater world. Unlike traditional aquariums, it utilizes an open-water system, pumping fresh seawater directly into the tanks, creating a natural habitat for its marine inhabitants. The aquarium is home to over 400 marine animals, including colorful fish, sea turtles, stingrays, sharks, and playful dolphins. Visitors can observe these creatures in various exhibits that mimic their natural ecosystems, such as seagrass beds, mangroves, and deep-water reefs. Interactive experiences include feeding shows where you can help feed sea turtles, stingrays, and sharks, as well as sea lion presentations. For a closer encounter, the aquarium offers Animal Encounters, allowing guests to swim with dolphins or interact with sea lions. The Ocean Lens tour provides a unique opportunity to explore the deep sea without getting wet, descending to 5.2 meters below sea level in a cooled room with a large viewing window. The Curaçao Sea Aquarium is dedicated to marine life education and conservation, offering engaging programs for all ages.
