Getting There

    From Willemstad, take Weg Naar Westpunt northwest for approximately 35 km. Follow signs for Christoffel National Park. The drive takes about 35-45 minutes. Parking is available at the visitor center and the base of Mount Christoffel. Be aware that the roads within the park can be narrow and steep in places. There is no fee for parking.

    Take Bus 9A from Willemstad's Otrobanda bus terminal to Barber. From Barber, transfer to another bus heading towards Westpunt and ask the driver to stop at Christoffel National Park. The total journey takes approximately 1 hour and costs around $2 USD. From the bus stop, there is a short walk to the park entrance.

Christoffel National Park, located at the northwestern end of Curaçao, is a protected nature area and a major tourist attraction. Established in 1978, the park encompasses 1,860 hectares, showcasing the island's diverse flora, fauna, culture, and history. The park includes three former plantations: Plantage Savonet, Plantage Zorgvlied, and Plantage Zevenbergen, as well as the Newton mining complex and Mount Christoffel (Christoffelberg), the island's highest peak at 375 meters. The park is renowned for its rich biodiversity, harboring around 50 rare plant species and unique birdlife.
