Discover more about Shete Boka National Park

Shete Boka National Park, meaning 'seven inlets' in Papiamentu, is a stunning protected area on Curaçao's northern coast. Founded in 1994, the park encompasses nearly 10 kilometers of rugged, wave-exposed shoreline. While named for seven inlets, the park actually features around ten pocket bays. These inlets serve as crucial nesting sites for three species of sea turtles: Hawksbill, Loggerhead, and Green turtles. The park's landscape is characterized by dramatic limestone cliffs shaped by the relentless pounding of the Caribbean Sea. Visitors can witness this raw power at several key locations. Boka Tabla allows you to descend into a cave to experience the waves crashing against the rocks. Boka Pistol is famous for its blowhole, where waves surge through a narrow opening, creating a shooting sound and spraying water high into the air. Boka Wandomi features a natural bridge carved by the ocean, offering breathtaking views. Boka Kalki offers a quieter experience with a small beach where sea turtles sometimes lay their eggs. Two main hiking trails allow exploration of the park's diverse scenery. The Boka Wandomi trail leads to Boka Tabla, while the Boka Kalki trail goes to Boka Pistol. These trails offer stunning views of the coastline, diverse flora and fauna, including iguanas, lizards, and various bird species. The park is adjacent to Christoffel National Park, making it possible to visit both in one day.
