Car
From the center of the Beskydy Mountains, head towards the town of Valašské Meziříčí. From there, take the road E442 towards Hranice. Continue on this road for approximately 20 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Hostýn as you approach Chvalčov. Once you reach Chvalčov, follow local signs to the Hostýn area. There is parking available at the base of the mountain, which may incur a small fee.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, start by taking a bus from any town in the Beskydy Mountains to Valašské Meziříčí. From Valašské Meziříčí, transfer to a regional bus that goes to Chvalčov. The bus ride typically takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Chvalčov, follow the signs that lead to Hostýn. Alternatively, you may need to walk about 2 kilometers from the bus stop to reach the base of the mountain.
Walking
If you are already in Chvalčov, you can reach Hostýn by walking. From the center of Chvalčov, head towards the direction of the mountain, following the marked trails. The walk is approximately 2 kilometers and offers scenic views along the way. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the trail may be steep in some sections.
