    History and Architecture

Built in 1891 for the Jubilee Czech Exhibition by Komarov Ironworks, Hanavský Pavilon was Prague's first cast-iron structure, combining concrete, glass, and iron in Neo-Baroque style designed by Otto Hercik. Donated to the city by Prince Vilém Hanavský, it was dismantled and relocated to Letenské sady in 1898, becoming a technical and artistic monument. Restored in 1967 and 1987, its ornate iron railings and central pillar evoke grandeur.

    Panoramic Views

The pavilion commands one of Prague's finest vistas, overlooking the Vltava River with Manes Bridge in the foreground, Charles Bridge behind, and Legion, Jirasek, and Palacky Bridges farther out. The Old Town's Tyn Church dominates the scene, with Pankrac high-rises and Zizkov Tower on the horizon. Enjoy from the terrace or nearby lookout.

    Dining Experience

Serving European, Czech, and Central European fare like wild boar goulash and venison, the restaurant offers lunch, dinner, and drinks. Moderate pricing suits casual meals on the outdoor terrace or inside. Pet-friendly with vegetarian options, it's ideal for relaxing amid park greenery.

    Park Setting and Access

Nestled in Letenské sady near Kramář's Villa, the Prime Minister's residence, it provides a tranquil escape. Reach via trams to Chotkovy sady or Cechuv most, metro Hradcanska, or cycling paths. A steep walk from Old Town rewards with breathtaking panoramas.
