Continue on DE-1 S for approximately 5 miles, then take Exit 104 toward US-13 S/Newark. Merge onto US-13 S and continue for about 3 miles. Turn left onto S Old Baltimore Pike. Cooch's Bridge Historic Site will be on your left at 961 S Old Baltimore Pike, Newark, DE 19702. There is no entry fee, but parking is available nearby.

For those using public transportation, take the DART First State bus service. You can board the bus at the nearest station to your location. You will want to take the bus route that heads towards Newark. Get off at the stop nearest to S Old Baltimore Pike. From there, it is about a 10-minute walk to Cooch's Bridge Historic Site. If you're feeling adventurous and want to bike to Cooch's Bridge, you can take the Delaware Greenway Trail. Start at any point along the trail that heads towards Newark. Follow the trail until you reach S Old Baltimore Pike. Once you reach the road, head south for about half a mile, and you'll find Cooch's Bridge Historic Site at 961 S Old Baltimore Pike. Make sure to wear a helmet and obey traffic rules, as this area may have vehicle traffic.
