Getting There

  • Public Bus

    From the center of Puerto Plata, head to the main bus terminal located on Avenida 27 de Febrero. Look for the bus marked 'Teleférico' or 'Cable Car'. The fare is typically very affordable, around 50-100 pesos. The ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Inform the driver that you are headed to the Puerto Plata Cable Car, and they will drop you off right at the entrance.

  • Motoconcho (Motorcycle Taxi)

    If you prefer a quicker and more direct route, you can take a motoconcho. Simply flag one down on the street. Tell the driver 'Teleférico' or 'Puerto Plata Cable Car'. The fare is usually around 150-200 pesos. The ride takes about 10 minutes, depending on traffic.

    If you are close to the Parque Central or the main streets, you can walk to the cable car. Start from Parque Central and head west on Calle 12 de Julio.
