Getting There

  • Metro

    From downtown Cairo, head to the Sadat Metro Station located in Tahrir Square. Take the Metro Line 1 (the red line) towards Helwan. Travel for 6 stops and get off at Giza Station. Once at Giza Station, exit the station and head to the main road (El Giza St).

  • Bus

    After exiting Giza Station, you can catch a microbus or a minibus heading to the Giza Plateau. Look for signs that indicate 'Giza' or 'Pyramids'. The microbuses are usually located near the main road. The fare is typically around 5 EGP. It will take approximately 15-20 minutes to reach the Giza Necropolis. Get off at the entrance to the site.

    If you prefer walking, after arriving at Giza Station, you can walk towards the Giza Necropolis. It is about a 20-30 minute walk.
